About Amir

This blog is maintained by Amir Alfatakh as a repository of discussions, weblinks and information on Islamic Banking. He is still working in the industry and is glad he is still in it. He intends to keep things simple as he sees it as the blog is supposed to be an introduction to the workings of Islamic Banking. But do forgive him if he rambles; his fingers do get out of control sometimes.

As he is struggling to continuously update this blog due to work commitments, he welcomes any useful contribution on Islamic Banking or Takaful from friends and colleagues (with due credit accorded). He is also happy to put in useful links of any good Islamic Banking website for the convenience of this blog’s visitors.

When time permits and an interesting topic surfaces, he hope to be able to contribute something to the discussion, God willing.

Please note that the posting by Amir Alfatakh is his own personal views and understanding of the subject matter, as limited as it may be. It is in no means representing the views of the organisation he is involved with, whether it is past, present or future organisation.

Amir enjoys travel and photography and is in perpetual amazement of the human ingenuity in the business world. He welcomes any constructive feedback on his postings and suggestions from visitors.

One day he intends to write a picture book on Islamic Banking that is easy to understand. It is for the kids, you see?

Thank you for visiting. Please come again. Don’t forget to click subscribe if you like his posting.

    • Its not abandoned. Time is premium nowadays, unfortunately. Have not updated any post, but is working on some drafts.

If you have some nice write ups on Islamic Banking, for example your papers from CIL, pass to me to paste it in the blog. Worry not, I will give you due credit for the write up.

Nowadays, I just keep adding Islamic Banking links to the right sidebar. If you have any more good Islamic Banking website that I have missed out, do send me a link. I think I am the most active user on my blog because I go here to find the links.
